'Keiko Goke's Quilt Wonderland'
This is an excerpt from Keiko's book "Quilt Wonderland" and I think this expresses Keiko's thoughts towards quilts.
"Over the years, I have made whatever quilts I wanted to. I feel fortunate that I was able to work in this way. ……………..
I have always had a mind of my own. I wanted to be different and I wanted to do things differently. I have always maintained this rebellious attitude even in my quiltmaking. There would be times when I could produce quilt after quilt. But then, there would be a period when I could not make even one quilt. I would just say to myself "What the heck?" and take time off to do something else. Thus, I have never experienced what artists call a depressive and unproductive period. ………"
